US visa procedures for children and infants under the age of 18 are carried out by their parents, following the procedure valid for adults.

The DS-160 application form must be filled out on behalf of the person applying for a visa, the application fee must be paid, and a visa appointment must be made at the US foreign mission. On the appointment date, the necessary documents are delivered to the Consulate and the application is completed by completing other US visa procedures.

The only exception to the US visa application process for minors is that those under the age of 14 are exempt from attending a US visa appointment in certain cases. US foreign missions have a special application procedure for children under the age of 14 whose parents have a US visa.

US visa applications for children under the age of 14 and infants can be made by mail if one of their parents has a valid US visa.

In the next step, the visa interview exemption status is determined by answering the questions asked.
