Botswana Travel Requirements and Online Visa Application
Botswana, officially the Republic of Botswana, is a landlocked Southern African country. Except for citizens of visa-exempt countries, foreign visitors are required to obtain a visa from foreign missions or via an e-visa application platform to travel to Botswana.
The Republic of Botswana is one of the African countries that does not require a visa from Turkish citizens. Citizens of the Republic of Turkey who hold ordinary, service, special and diplomatic passports are exempt from visa procedures for 90 days for their travels to Botswana. Within the scope of the Botswana visa exemption, a maximum of 3 months can be stayed in Botswana within a 12-month period from the first date of entry to the country.

Botswana Visa Application Procedures
On August 12, 2021, the Botswana Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched the e-visa system to facilitate visa application procedures and stimulate the country’s tourism potential. Applications for all Botswana visa types, including tourist, business, relative visit, investment, student and work visas, are accepted through the Botswana electronic visa platform.
Citizens of foreign countries subject to a Botswana visa, such as Syria, Libya, Iran, Iraq and Turkmenistan, can obtain an electronic visitor visa by completing the online application process.
To apply for a Botswana e-visa, the application form must be filled out on the evisa.gov.bw website, the necessary visa documents must be uploaded and the visa fee must be paid.

Botswana Visa Fee
The Botswana visa fees valid for 2024 are 300 BWP (23 USD) for a single-entry 1-month visa
and 500 BWP (37 USD) for a multiple-entry 3-month visa. The Botswana visa fee is paid by credit card through the online application system.
