Canary Islands Visa Procedures and Entry Procedures
The Canary Islands are an autonomous archipelago located in the Atlantic Ocean west of Morocco and administratively dependent on the Kingdom of Spain. The most popular island of the Canary Islands is Tenerife. The other islands are Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and La Graciosa.
Officially included in the Schengen Area, all of the Canary Islands have the same status as other autonomous regions in mainland Spain. Therefore, the Schengen visa regime rules apply to foreign nationals traveling to the Canary Islands.
Turkish citizens with ordinary passports who will go to the Canary Islands for touristic, commercial or personal visits must obtain a Schengen visa. Our citizens with official passports are exempt from the Schengen visa for 90 days within 180 days.
