    The required documents for Chinese visa applications include a visa photo. The visa photo that must be submitted for all Chinese visa types must be taken recently and have the appropriate size and resolution criteria.

    The Chinese visa photo must be submitted digitally within the range of 354 pixels x 472 pixels to 420 pixels x 560 pixels or in printed form with dimensions of 33 mm x 48 mm.

    Features of China Visa Application Photo

    The Chinese visa application photo must have the following features.

    • The photo must have no borders, a white background, and be taken in color.
    • Must be a recent photograph taken within the last 6 months.
    • White clothing should not be worn when taking photographs.
    • The photo must be printed cleanly and without damage, and there must be no light reflections or shadows on the face.
    • The photo should be in natural tone, not too much or too little light, taken without red eye and in proportion.

    Posture and Pose in Chinese Visa Photo

    In the Chinese visa photo, you must look at the camera with your entire head and face clearly visible. You must have a neutral facial expression and pose with your eyes open, mouth closed, and ears visible. Your head must be tilted no more than 20° to the side and 25° up or down. There should be no extra movement or objects visible in the photo. All your facial features must be complete and clearly visible in the photo centered on your head.
