When to Apply for a Sri Lanka First Entry Visa?
To apply for a Sri Lanka entry visa, an authorised person or organisation, employer or educational institution in Sri Lanka must first apply for a residence permit on your behalf to the Sri Lanka Immigration Department.
After receiving the residence permit application, the Sri Lanka Immigration Department authorizes the Sri Lanka Embassy to issue an entry visa. In order to obtain an entry visa, a long-term visa application must be submitted to the Sri Lanka Immigration Department at least 45 days before the planned travel date.
Sri Lanka Entry Visa Application Process
For a Sri Lanka entry visa, you must contact the Sri Lankan Ankara Embassy, fill out the application form, prepare the necessary documents and make an appointment for the application. During the appointment, you must submit the application form and other necessary documents and pay the visa fee, and the Sri Lanka entry visa application is completed.
Once your Sri Lankan entry visa has been processed and your passport is ready for collection, you will be notified. If you are unable to collect your passport in person, you must authorize your representative in writing to collect it on your behalf. The representative must provide an authorization letter along with the cash receipt and ID.
