Who can sponsor an Austrian visa?
For an Austrian visa, the applicant can be sponsored by a family member, relative, friend, employer or the company they work for. The sponsor must be financially able to cover all of the applicant's travel expenses to Austria.
Obtaining Visa Sponsorship from Someone Residing in Austria
If the family member, friend, company or club inviting the applicant to Austria will cover the costs of the trip to Austria, an electronic declaration of commitment (EVE) must be prepared.

How should the Austrian Visa Sponsorship Application be?
The Austrian visa sponsorship petition must be written in English or German, in an official language addressed to the foreign mission where the application is made, by the person who will sponsor the applicant. Although the petition can be written by hand or on the computer, it must be declared with a wet signature.
The sponsorship letter should include detailed information about the sponsor, details of the relationship between the applicant and the sponsor, and information about how the sponsor will cover the expenses. Documents showing the sponsor's financial resources should also be submitted with the sponsor's petition as evidence.

If the sponsor is an employee with SGK, the documents listed below must be submitted.
