Chinese visa fingerprint application is an application made for people who will apply for a People's Republic of China visa to be able to make their applications.
The Chinese Consulate General in Istanbul started collecting fingerprint information for Chinese visa applications as of December 4, 2017, and the Chinese Embassy in Ankara started collecting fingerprint information for Chinese visa applications as of April 1, 2018.
How to Provide Fingerprints for Chinese Visa?
Fingerprints for a Chinese visa must be given digitally for all ten fingers by going to the Consulate General or the Chinese Visa Center if the visa application is made to the Chinese Consulate General in Istanbul, and by going to the Embassy if the visa application is made to the Chinese Embassy in Ankara.
Biometric information collection hours of foreign missions vary, and we recommend that you check the working days and fingerprint collection hours of the Chinese Consulate General and the Chinese Embassy in advance.
Fingerprint Exemption in People's Republic of China Visa Procedures
The following persons are exempt from providing fingerprints for Chinese visa procedures.
- Persons under 14 years old and over 70 years old
- Diplomatic passport, special passport and service passport holders
- Persons who have had their fingerprints taken for visa applications made at foreign missions within the last 5 years.
- Persons with a physical disability that prevents fingerprinting

How Do I Know If My Fingerprint Is Registered in the China Visa Center System?
You can understand whether you have a fingerprint record in the China Visa Center system by looking at your Chinese visa that you received after December 2017. There is a number under your photo on the visa and the letters "Y" or "N" at the end of this number; if there is a "Y" on your visa, it means that you have a fingerprint record and you do not need to provide fingerprint record again.
Can I Get a Chinese Visa Without Giving Fingerprints?
No, it is not possible to get a Chinese visa without giving fingerprints. In order to apply for a Chinese visa, you must complete the fingerprinting process.
You must make an appointment for a Chinese visa from the relevant foreign representative office or visa center to submit the necessary visa documents and provide fingerprint information .
