Working Hours of the German Consulate in Izmir
Izmir German Consulate,
- Monday to Thursday between 08:00 – 16:30
- The consulate is open on Fridays between 08:00 and 13:30 with an appointment. The consulate is closed on weekends and public holidays.
During visits to the consulate, bags and similar items are not allowed into the building for security reasons. Items are kept at the information desk.
Visa Application Procedures
The German Consulate in Izmir does not accept individual tourist visa applications. Visa applications can be made through intermediary institutions or accredited agencies.
Our TURSAB registered agency, which is accredited with the iDATA intermediary institution, manages the entire process on behalf of the applicant by following the visa application process from beginning to end, in accordance with the application criteria determined by the Federal Republic of Germany.
Visa Appointment
The German Consulate in Izmir does not provide appointments for individual visa applications. Appointments must be made through an intermediary institution and the necessary documents must be submitted to this institution.
In applications made by our agency, the current documents requested by the Consulate are prepared completely on behalf of the applicant and the nearest appointment is made. The entire process is carried out completely and quickly with the experienced team.
After the necessary documents are prepared by our Istanbul head office, they are forwarded to our field team in Izmir. A consultant assigned from our field team carries out all application and document delivery procedures on behalf of the applicant.
Note: If the applicant has a Schengen visa obtained within the last 5 years, all procedures are completed by our field team without the applicant coming to the appointment and the approved visa is shipped to the address. If there is no previously obtained Schengen visa, the applicant is welcomed on the appointment date and accompanied until all procedures are completed.
Visa Approval and Tracking
Visa application tracking cannot be done through the official website of the consulate . For individual applications made through our agency, visa tracking is done by our operations team and all updates are sent via 5-stage SMS.
